An evening in quarantine
I ventured out from the four walls into the sea of self-promoting thoughts
I walked on the terrace, thinking to make my every step count in life
I kept walking feeling the cement floor with my bare feet, stabilizing my presence on this earth
I gazed at the plants dancing to the tunes of the breeze sometimes tough sometimes soft, but still impregnable
I looked up at the sky, sometimes blue sometimes gray, but always alluring
I am amused by the discipline of the birds that fly with an absolutely splendid coordination
I let the gush of wind brush my hair across my face
I flip through the pages of my book, take a sip of my tea
Then I realize the lessons nature teach is beyond any books
I put down the book and started to breathe the beauty of nature
Embracing this feeling of unreality, I returned back to my daily reality.
